Talk about great rides!!!
Just over a week ago on Sept. 11th, I was able to participate in a GREAT ride!!! Here in So. Cal. some folks (QuickThrottle Magazine, KFRG radio, Fender Guitars, local Harley dealers and others) have been putting together an annual ride called the “Patriot Ride”. This is the 3rd year for the ride, but the first time I participated.
The ride started at a Fire Station in Rancho Cucamonga (just east of L.A. County) where there were two flatbed trailers – one had 16 tons of burnt, twisted steel girders from the WTC and the other had a heavily damaged fire truck that had helped in the WTC rescue effort.
When the ride started, the local cops blocked the surface streets as the flatbed trailers led the parade to Interstate 15 where the Highway Patrol had shut...

I am considering installing a set of Jerry Branch heads. Does anyone have any experience with them? All pros/cons, recommendations are appreciated.

I had a really nice short 200 mile ride over the weekend. Coldtoe you would have enjoyed this one. 2 sportsters, 2 softails and 2 crotch rockets out and about on the German back roads. We did not ride where we inteded to at least not at first and spent most of the day being lost. The only thing we did know at one point and time is that we were somewhere between Kaiserlautern and Bad Kreuznach but that was it. I had to laugh everytime I came up to an intersection and the one guy on a crotchrocket was waiting on us with his hands up in the air like "Which way guys".
We wound up finding a middle size village that had a pizza palor open and sat there for an hour or so then we decided we had better try to find our way home. We found our way back to the Rhein River and then took...

With the weather cooling down, I thought this may be a good time (tho early for Christmas) for this. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have..... I have seen it a couple times over the last couple of times. To fully enjoy this, read it like you would read "Twas the Night Before Christmas".
A Soldiers Xmas
TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF
PLASTER AND STONE.
I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY
WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO
IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.
I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,
A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.
NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
ON THE WALL...

I have Sampson Rolled Thunder Oval slip ons on my 04 FLHT. So far, knock on wood, the German Police have not given me problems. My bike does NOT have to go through inspection this year (thankfully) because it is "new". So, here is the problem/question. The Germans shove a rod up your tailpipe (Shounds like fun HUH??!!
). If the rod doen't get "stopped by the baffel", you FAIL.......There maybe also a decibles rating also, but I am less concerned about that at this time.... I am wondering if there is a magical "something" that I would be able to put into the rolled thunder pipes that will not drastically reduce noise/preformance and yet will stop that rod if I get pulled over? Any ideas? I need a back up plan for that "Just in case"!!!
