I was currious when people are changing their oils. If you go by the HD manual,i believe the schedule says 1000,5000,10k miles.
This seems too long since these bikes are running hotter than a car.
I am running the HD syn oil in all areas and now at the 2000 mile mark on my '03 road king. The oil still looks pretty fresh.
PS- i once had a toyota sale person tell me they were getting 30k miles between oil changes.....yea,ok buddy-sure.

Rinehart duals...2003 Road King (Screaming Eagle)
Hello all,
Sorry bout the spelling (road kind???
I didn't see it till after I posted & I can't fix it!)
I really like this forum, I have picked up a lot so far & y'all helped me spend my money.
I bought a S.E. air flow kit, power commander 111 & the Rinehart duals. No problems with anything till the last thing on my exhaust...the heat shield for the front jug won't fit or I can't see how it will? The footrest support is only 1/4' from the exhaust pipe itself...even if i could get it inside, I think it would be hitting the foot support. It seems I saw a short writing somewhere...no clue if it was here or not, about this fit problem on a 2003 S.E. only & BUB corrected for it & all should Be Ok now? I did...

Have a 2004 Sporty, wondering if the baffles are removable on the stock pipes? If so, has anyone ever done it?

I installed my Mikuni HSR last weekend and spent the last week riding around with a goofy grin on my face.(Thanks CD!)
The installation went smoothly and it runs great as it is, but I'm a little confused by the tuning instructions. The manual says:
Does this mean that closing the screw makes it richer?
My experience with the mixture screw on the CV is that closing the screw makes it leaner. Was I mistaken about the CV or is the setup different on the Mikuni?
