Recently I have been experiencing no voltage out to charge my battery. I have since tried taking the generator apart, cleaning and inspecting it, checking continuity on the field coils, and brushes, the brushes were a little glazed so I lightly sanded them with emery cloth and cleaned the armature end (which was dull gray) with 0000 steel wool to bring back the bright copper finish where the brushes ride. I then re-installed it and polarized the generator by touching a jumper from battery positive to "F" terminal on generator but still no voltage to battery. I am also running an electronic regulator. Its mounted on a 48/66 Pan Shovel.

H-D just posted the new models.

Minor changes except they did not cancel the FLST Heritage Springer after all. They renamed it and yanked the bags that prevented most aftermarket exhausts from fitting. Now is the FLSTSC/I Softail Springer Classic.

I have a 1981FXB. It appears that the solenoid is not pushing the gear out far enough into the teeth on the clutch hub.Talked to someone at a shop he said that the solenoid could be weak.Does this sound right. If not please give information that might help me out.Is it possible to shim starter or solenoid gear. Thanks

I am wanting to change out my Harley screaming Eagle mufflers on my 2003 Ultra and am looking for a different set of slip on pipes. I have been looking at the V&H newer ovals and at the supper trapp pipes. Does anyone know which is a better pipe for quality, sound and performance. The bike is fuel injected and I have already done the stage one to the bike. I know that it must be running lean as the muffler on the right side is already discoloring, so I probably will also have to go with a power commander.

Just traded my Super Glide Sport for an ElectraGlide Classic. Smokey Gold and black. Dayam...I love this thing already and I only put 60 miles on it from the dealership. Took me awhile to get used to the heal/toe shifting again, (been awhile) but after I adjusted them...much easier. Now...time for the "catalog"!!! lol
