Yup, it had to happen sooner or later LOL. We were just discussing gas gauges on another thread the other day and I actually laughed when the ol' scoot came to a stop. Naturally, I was miles from anywhere and it was early Sunday morning, and I had to push the beast about 3 miles (which was no laughing matter, boys) before I passed some houses and a guy was out in his yard and asked me what was wrong. I told him and he got me some lawn mower (regular) gas and I poured maybe a half gallon in. He wouldn't take any money. I stayed for awhile and we talked about bikes. He knew about jockey shifts and suicide clutches but had never seen an open primary before. Turns out he rode a full dresser in the old days with a black biker club. Pretty cool stuff, I thought.
And no, I'm not installing a gas...

Here is the new 2014 Honda Valkyrie. Almost like the old staying a bit better but bet this thing is fast.

Hey all,
This has been bugging me for awhile. When I changed my oil this spring in my 2012 Geezer Glide, I used the same procedures, oil, and filter I have used on previous bikes. I always have filled the oil by way of level indicated on the dipstick, as opposed to just dumping in the 4 qts listed in the capacity page in the owners manual. That was always just a few ounces short of the 4 qts.
This bike shows full at only 3 1/2 qts. I've checked it on the stand, upright, cold and hot. Same thing.
Does this seem odd ? Kinda hate to run it at all low with the heat these things put out.

Finally was able to go for a ride for enjoyment today. Took some pics at an old aircraft hangar nearby. No leaves on trees, so no scenery, but soon. Felt real good until the cold chilled the coffee in my bladder! Threw on a before paint pic with original tinset. No original tinsets were harmed in the making of this thread. LOL! All new to me steel was used.
