Yesterday Hot Rider and we're invited to a ceremony with our Hog Chapter called Blessing of the Bikes and a ride out to a different dealership for their annual Hog Roast. It was a neat ceremony that is put on by our club chaplain. We listen to a short sermon and then they come by each bike a we say a prayer asking for a safe riding season. Way cool.
From there, we headed out to APOLS Harley Davidson where there was a lot of food and bikes. In total for our ride we probably had about 50 bikes that rode out. Round trip it was about 250 miles. After the feed, two other people, Hot Rider and I went for a scenic ride. What a great day!

Harsh winds have been whipping a fire through the foothills near Rancho Cucamonga. I know Tomflhrci98 lives in that area but not sure how close. Hoping he and his family are okay. It was 97 today and suppose to reach 100 here tomorrow with more winds. Ugh!

I'm finally getting stuff back together. New tin set all installed, bodyshop guy put on tank emblems, new seat, LED taillamp went on, and I upgraded the handgrips from the neat looking H-D chrome with rubber inserts to some nice foam H-D ones as they feel more comfortable.
Changing the engine oil at home so I don't get wallet raped too bad when the tires get installed in a couple weeks. Should I change the primary fluid also? It was done last year, and only has 1800-2000miles on it. Should it be changed with every oil change? Went with H-D 20w50 and an H-D black filter for the engine oil.

Well yesterday 8 of us went on a ride that took us out through the rolling hills of vineyard country and orchard country. We then crossed into wheat country and crossed the Willamette River by Ferry. More rolling hill country then over the coast range MTNs into the Siletz River area where we stopped at a local bar for lunch. No not liquid lunch but actual food. We then took a very windy road from Siletz over to Lincoln City on the coast. After gassing up for the last time we took the coast MTN Range to home passing through more vineyard country and wheat country. It was a long days ride all on mostly backs roads and over three hundred miles.
