Hello Everyone, The brake lever is installed. Had a problem with the return spring on it. Getting it out and then back in on the new lever. Lack of might. its all on correctly. Still no brakes on the front. So I have to haul the whole system over. It could be air in the brake fluid, Master cylinder. etc. I am learning about the brake system only way to learn it is do it. Thank you all for your help. I wrote down parts assembley not that it is a whole lot for the lever but its good practice. It is a lot of fun. Thanks again fireitup

What would it take to have a get "together" I know we are all pretty much everywhere. I think it would be cool if it could be done. I know most in Ohio could meet in Columbus then head to Cincy...Louisville, hook up there then .....to Nashville... oh yeah Memphis(gotta get them Red Beans and rice)!!! then ?????
Everybody coming up from FLA and Ga could hook up with us (somewhere) then BAM...... KANSAS? We could take a tour at the factory out there. I have been there once when it just the sporties getting built out there.
(Took off on a whim on a Friday evening and got there Saturday Morning hung out took the tour on Monday then headed home.)
But..Hey just an idea... but I am in need of a long trip and some clear my mind time..what better way than with a group of fellow riders.......

Well, the weather cooperated and I just had a heck of a great time. Left here Thursday and headed up I 26 to Asheville then hit I 40 and took that to Knoxville, Tn. Caught I 75 and headed up through Kentucky and over the river into Ohio then caught hwy 35 to Xenia! Yes sir that gave me all 26 letters for towns in HOG's ABC's of touring, for a total of 68 points. Of course since I rode everywhere I went I have no illusions of winning any top prizes. Since you could count the "fly and ride" places. But 66 points got you the special edition medallion which will go in the case with my old Harley 100,000 mile pin and some other trivia.

Hi all, for an 82 maxim is the synthetic motorcycle oil really necessary? I mean it is way more pricey than car oil. And what did they use on that bike when it first came out? When the synthetic oil wasn't around? does it make a difference which oil i use other than price? Happy New Year, Fireitup.
