I have a 74 Yamaha TX650 that I am bobbing. I like the look of 21 inch wheels, and I wonder if anyone has tried a junkyard conversion. Can you adapt an HD wheel to the forks and fab together brakes? What about using a dirt bike wheel from the same manufacturer and era? Any experiences or suggestions?

Anyone know how to remove the stock ring gear and install a 66 tooth ring gear on the clutch basket of a '04 TC88? Is the stock ring gear bolted or pressed on? How do you get the stock ring gear off the clutch basket and how do you put the new ring gear on the clutch basket? I see that Custom Chrome sells a 66 tooth ring and 10 tooth pinion for about $60.00 as opposed to Rivera's price of $110.00. Is CCI's price too good to be true?
Thanks.

Can anybody out there tell me if Rinehart true duals are really loud if you run them without baffles? I want a really loud and mean sounding exhaust system for my 2004 Road King Classic but want to retain the look of an exhaust under each bag. Tried Vance& Hines Ovals but their sound is to tame for my taste and their sound with the baffles out is not a great sounding loud. I need LOUD!!! I know all the disadvantages of lower torque, etc. but I will sacrifice horsepower for a great sounding loud. Thanks!

Anyone have a contribution for procedure of brake bleeding on the front end? Just seems that I'm not getting maximum brake on the front end no matter how many times I do it. Sometimes I get a good, full lever, and other times it feels mushy.

I sprung a pretty good oil leak last weekend on a 99 Fatboy and spent most of my Sunday fixing it. It's all set now but I have a question.
The leak was in the lower portion of both rocker covers, the rear being worse than the front. I replaced all the gaskets and noticed that the upper two are the same rubber gaskets as the originals. However, the original lower gaskets were four small paper gaskets which looked like they were set bad during the original build.
The replacements were metal gaskets with a ridge in the middle so they would compress similar to a head gasket. They were also one piece so you can't get a bad set as long as the bolts go through he holes.
Did Harley replace these because they were having problems? Also, is it common for both front and rear to...
