I've been writing for this magazine for a few months now. Just figured out where the PDF is on their site and since they link it there, figure there's nothing wrong with linking it here.
My article is on pages 17 and 18 this month. I write the monthy racing column called "The Fast Line"

If I get to make the trip labor day, I had planned to do an article on it, 2000 miles on an SV650 or something to that effect. However, I got to looking at the schedule and the last TMGP race and awards presentation is Sept 4 and 5. ****! Now, I don't know what to do. I'm sleeping on it, but I hate to miss out that race. Then again, I REALLY wanna do that ride and write about it and make all you guys Texas stars, LOL. I may just...

Help! I was all ready to order a Corbin tour seat for my Road King and realized I can't use my HD luggage rack with this set up. Does anyone know of a luggage rack that can be used? I have to be able to put my T-Bag on the bike for those long trips.

Can someone shed a little light on the proper way to remove cylinder studs?
The local HD dealer told me to put some propane to it and use a small pipe wrench and twist it out. When asked if there would be a chance it would brake
he said"not a chance" well guess what? the third one broke after two turns.
Second question. how do I get the rest of the stud out? it broke in the recessed part of the block. Thanks Alot,

I've been reading a few things on the new EPA regs regarding customs and kit bikes. The biggest concern I have is the one kit bike per lifetime rule. I don't see how you can be legally limited to one if for some reason your bike gets stolen or wrecked. Does anyone know if there is an effort to repeal or change the wording or is this already etched in stone? Also, what are the limitations on rebuilding a bike? For example, if one were to buy a totalled bike and rebuild it from scratch with a new frame and so forth. Is this considered a custom bike or a repair? I was considering building a kit but got a great deal on a Fatboy so I didn't do it. However, I would still like to build one eventually. The last thing that concerns me if the part of the reg that says you can't sell the...

I was told that twin cams run a lot hotter than the Evos, so I installed a fan (goes where the stock horn goes - left side under the tank). I also replaced the air temperature gauge with an oil temperature gauge. The other day, while stuck in bumper to bumper Boston traffic, not getting out of first gear for about a half hour, my oil temperature was up in the 280 degree range. My thighs were starting to melt!! I never felt this much heat on my '96 Electra Glide. A few questions ..... Does synthetic oil run cooler than non-synthetic? Would an oil cooler make much of a difference in traffic? If so, is there a setup that works with a dresser equipped with a display stand? Any other suggestions most welcome.
