I am going to install some beach bars on the RK and want to install coated SS brake lines ,1 for the improved braking and also for the looks. It looks like i am going to need about 6" over stock lenght. I saw HD had a longer brake line kit available, but it doesn't say anything about being coated, so it looks like i need to shop from the aftermarket. I have seen some lines w/ a very finely polished SS that looked great. Can anyone recommend a maker that works/fit well and looks good also.
Also ,am i going to have to extend the clutch and throttle cables too? If so i guess it is time for SS cables also.

Motorcycle Rally in Germany

For any of you that are interested, Spangdahlem AB Germany will be holding a Motorcycle rally/ Car show 5-7 August. Here is some info I received on the get together. Lets hope the weather is decent, that's asking for a lot around here.

American culture revolves around its cars and motorcycles. In an attempt to bring a piece of American culture to the men and women of the 52 Fighter Wing, 52 Service Squadron with the Spangdahlem Eifel Riders will host a Motor Weekend to include a car show, stereo sound off and Motorcycle “Can’t Do Sturgis” Rally August 5th through the 7th. There is no rain date!

I have a 2001 FXDWG. Took her out for a spin last week, and discovered both the right front and right rear turn signals weren't working. When I turn on the ignition, the left signals flash 6 quick times. I have trouble shot everything I and Mid Continent HD in Wichita know to do. Wichita HD has 3 other bikes with the same issue, and HD corporate hasn't returned their calls. Here's what I've done to trouble shoot it. I have ensured both front and back bulbs are good. Checked and replaced all fuses. My right hand turn signal cancels my left signal, so I know the switch is good. Also, if I disconnect my rear signals at the join under the seat, my right front signal works, also showing the switch is good. Replaced my turn signal module (not cheap at $120). What the %$#&!!!! I have a 2005 FLHTCUI with the following installed: PC, K&N Hi Flo Air Filter and a Rinehart Tru Dual Exhaust System. The bike has been Dyno Tuned at the dealership. After they finally got rid of the horrendous backfiring upon deceleration, these are the Torque/HP readings they came up with. The HP is 70.2, Torque 75.6 ft.lbs, I feel that for the money invested these readings are low. Also running speeds of 65--75 mph I am averaging 38 mpg on gas mileage. Are the HP/TQ readings too low and secondly what can I expect for gas mileage at the speeds mentioned. I would appreciate any feedback from anyone with a similar FLHTCUI setup or any of you technical guys out there.

My RK Custom pulls to the left just a little bit. Been doing it from the day I got it. Maybe I should have taken it back to the stealer right then but procrastination is a b!t(* .
Anyway I have been told that I would be better off getting a service manual and going over all of the alignment for the wheels and motor myself. Dose anyone have any words of wisdom on this? CD what kind of deal can you make me on a 04 touring model service manual? I’ll need one even if I don’t do this one myself. The HD Moco sells for about $60.
