I have an 03 FLSTS. I am considering putting on slip ons with no baffles. I already had slip ons with baffles put on when I bought the bike. They had to rejet carb, etc. What are the pros and cons of running straight pipes? Am I screwing up here just to get a better sound out of my bike? Thanks for the replies.

CD...I got the money from my banker to do my gear drive cam project and replace my exhaust....So I'll be placing an order soon.
Questions:
1. Should I replace my lifters with the cam swap? (SE 203 to Andrews TW-55G)
2. If yes to qeustion #1, Which lifters are the best value?
3. CD, do you carry that "Baisley spring" that is supposed to increase the stock pumps oil pressure?...If not, do you know where I can get one?

I have a 1998 FXD with a factory forward control kit added. I placed a Kury Ackyn timing hole cover on. This prompted me to move the shifter rod from the inside most connection point on the front shifter lever, to the outer point, so the shiffter rod did not rub the cover. This places the shifter rod at more of an angle outward. Will the heim joint compensate for the additional stress placed on the transmission shifter shaft or will it adventually cause the seal to leak? Any ideas? In the factory position the rod runs at a bit of an angle from transmission shaft connection to forward control connection anyway, but this increases the angle quite a bit.
Thanks for any knowlege on the issue.

Please, need honest opinions on National cycles fly screen from anyone using one. I can't stand winshields, but do need a bit of wind off the chest and a few bugs out of the teeth as most all my riding is 55MPH and above.
Thanks
Thanks
