I disassembled all the internals on my 1976 'non CV keihin carb' here. I soaked it over night and didn't realize the main nozzle comes off also. It has holes down the sides of the tube which need to be aimed a certain way. Can anyone tell me which way to turn that nozzle when I put carb back together? Thanks for the help. Big Nick

Got some pics of what was and what is.....
This is what was in the bike when i bought it and it had the carb fart.
Don't know what needle it is but it had a plastic spacer 0.8mm
Cant post pics............
I then went for the CVP velocity needle without the plastic shim and this appeared to solve the farting.
cant post pics
I recently added some really short exhaust pipes and lost power which i live with but talking to a friend he said try a shim under the CVP needle and see if that improves mid range. TBH couldn't really tell but i guess better.
The shim is 0.6mm and he gave me 2. I have been running one but now have the fart back.
cant post pics
No shim but recess in slide.

Moved to new thread for Charlie 46
I don't know how to start a new thread,so I'll pose my question here. What ,if anything can be done to stop that horrible sound coming from my 103 Rushmore motor when it's idling and warm(worse with the hms enabled)?

I have a 2006 Electra-Glide and want to know if it's possible to put an oil cooler on it. I had a 1988 E-Glide and it had an external oil cooler mounted on the front crash bar, but that was an 80 Cu. In. Evo. engine with an external oil tank and was pretty straight forward. My 2006 is a Twin-Cam and has a sump instead of an external tank. Is it possible to put some kind of oil cooling on it? This summer I plan on driving it to the Arizona/Utah/California area and would like to have some auxiliary oil cooling on it if possible. I just had the local shop put the hydraulic Twin-Cam chain tensioner upgrade on it in preparation for the trip. Turns out the stock tensioner pads were approx. 1/4 worn and I probably could have gotten away without the upgrade, but since it would need it eventually,...
