Evening,
In the next few weeks I'll be picking up my Yamaha VXS-650, and like most first motorcycle owners I have great dreams as to what my new baby is going to transform into over time.
But I confess I am quite an amateur in all things motorcycle and I'm prepared for a rather steep learning curve.
My first question is in relation to forward controls, I was recommended by a friend to invest in a set (Being 6' 1")
I was wondering if anybody can give me some advice on forward controls, I hear from some riders that they reduce control but offer some relief on long rides, does anybody have any brands and models they can recommend for the XVS650? Will forward controls interfere with my plans for highway bars & floor plates?

G'day all, I am trying to find some information on CS's 2-1 headers...not much on google. Mostly Thunder header, V&H , D&D.

Bike is a 03 low rider, K&N filter, carb re-jet. The one I am looking at is PHD-329. 1.75"pipes not sure of pipe length or collector length. Looking for some more power in the 2000-5000 band.

Found a set for $300 worth it or save for a thunder or a d&d header?

This isn't a bike topic but since I usually ride my softtail to the range, here it goes. Does anyone know if you need a riser with high profile rings on the picitiny rail of a flat top of an ar in order to mount a scope?
In other words, will high rings give me access to the charging handle? Or will I need a riser too?
