So, don't make it easy on me if you guys wanna ride to California cause I just got hired at Houston Kawasaki. I'll be working there Thursday through Saturdays with the exception of race weekends where I'll be off Saturday. I just got the call today. Soooo, I guess I'm committed for a while. This will be good for me. Heck, they're starting me at 17 and hour. I didn't know wrenches made that much now days. I'll be taking home, with my IRA checks, more than I did at the plant. And, I get to keep my shop going here at the house, too. That's just bonus cash.

Anyways, there won't be any riding on Saturdays for me for a while. I'll work there for a couple of years probably anyhow. It's only three days a week. It's 120 miles to the shop from my house, but I can stay at Brazos Bend...

I have a 2000 FXD, recently installed a Mikuni HSR42,& a K&N filter,really like the throttle response, and the pull . I removed the baffles in the stock mufflers, (don't sound bad) I was wondering if there would be any gains in performance by going with Screaming Eagle 2's, S&S slip-ons or just leaving the stockers on.

Anyone have thoughts on which controller is best as far as reliability, ease of use, and technically sound: techlusion or power commander?

Advantages and Disadvantages are appreciated....

My buddy was involved in machining the heads and airflow tricks to help HD regain a 1000cc class land speed record a few years ago. One of the rules is the bike must "appear stock." after much dyno-ing and tricks, they knew that when the throttle was hit hard sprays out of the cv carb and sucked back in on the pistons' stoke. they said it looks like a tornado with what they were dealing with. My friend better known as "the professor" Machined a cone and grooved it with spirals to help create a stronger vortex into the carb. It mounts with the stock air cleaner and centered on the carb(small tip towards the carb) they gained 6-7 hp!! on their runs. So now my 02 wide glide will be the test case for him to try and basically create a serious vortex. Grant it the bike they set the record is...
