Went there fri- Monday. Its only about 2 1/2 hours away. Off season. Not crowded. Hotels and food cheap. Did not take bike this time. Took family and dog. Still lots to see and do. Gonna go back with friends on bikes soon. Gotta a bead on some pretty decent looking watering holes. Been a while since i been there. Got a good idea of where everything is and what hotels are located.
stocked up on fireworks too.

I just purchased a 2004 HD FLHT Standard from a private party. The motor is a stock TC88 so I believe. The previous owner put a set of true dual headers on it and Rinehart 4" slip-on performance mufflers. He told me nothing has been done to the carb. And upon removal of the air cleaner cover, nothing has been changed there either, looks all stock. Should I install a Stage 1 CV carb kit is my first question and second should I also add a performance style air cleaner element? Being the previous owner has the engine's exhaust flowing outward better it seems obvious he should have taken care of the inbound side also. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Powdermike

Went for a ride today with grandson grandson. 55 degrees, sunny and blue skies. Road surfaces on back road NC are phenomenal. No cars. Speed limit 45-55mpg. 35mph thru small towns

In NC since. 11-10-2020. Will be here till 05-01-2021. Ride all year round down here. The backroads are the best. Can ride all day on the back roads and see maybe 10 cars. Roads in good condition too. Daughter and her family live a mile up the road so they are here often and which is cool. 8 year old grandson new riding partner. Nags me for rides 24/7.
Hope everyone had great Thanksgiving.

Rode my bike to Texas from sept 24 to oct 4. 2400 miles. Stopped at barber motorsport museum in birmingham, ala and bonnie and clyde museum in gibsland,LA. Rode the first day in torrential rain of BETA storm. Rest of the trip was perf3ct. My ass bone still hurts. Was supposed to go to alpine, texas another 600 miles but buddies bike broke and turned into a four day shit show to repair it. Bike broke in Minden,LA but got as far as tyler, texas at the lone star hd shop. They didnt have regulatir so had to go back 100 miles to three states hd in bossier,la so decided to go home from there.
