Hi, new here, thanks for the in. Looked for my topic but didn't find an answer, perhaps new eyes will see this and have it..... So I inherited my bro's 06 Sportster XL883L with 16,000 miles on it. It's an American market bike that ended up in Alberta. When he got it, the bike had Vance & Hines staggered short shorts on it with their factory baffles, (basically a pipe with some little louvers) a stock air cleaner, and a untouched factory carb. He bought one of those cone/spike air cleaners and put it on. Then the issues began... when getting from mid to towards the top of any gear... pop...pop,pop,pop. He suffered with it in town at low rpm where it was not so noticeable. Move ahead to now and I have the issue. I have miles of flat open highway to run and want it right. I put the stock air...

Hi all,
I'm having my Bandit 1250 rims sandblasted and powder coated (old finish was not in good condition).
The powder coater I found recommended a sandblasting business and they did the job for me. Despite specifically asking him not to blast any of the machined surfaces, he only taped up the bearing cavities, but sandblasted the surface against which the brake discs are mounted (arghhhh!). I asked him what happened and he said that this is the way they usually do it and that I won't have any trouble with it.
So my question to the brains-trust is this: will it give me any trouble?
The powder coater is not quite finished with them yet. They confirmed that it should not have been blasted and that they could put the base coat onto these surfaces to 'even them out'. But I told...

Just picked up a 2006 Dyna FXDI. Starts and accelerates great but there is a hitch you feel when you keep the throttle steady. The idle drops when the bike is warm and stalls. Error codes P0108, P0374 and P1356 come up. Plugs are light grey. It has a K & N replacement filter and Vance & Hines 2 into 1 with a factory ECM. Any ideas?

Hey new to the forum.
Question: is there any way to get around the engine capacity restrictions for your RE's?
It says 660mL, however, I have a great opportunity to get something larger. Wondering if there is any bullshit way to get around this restriction?

I hope you guys can help me, maybe somebody has "run into" this before.
I bought a stock Harley-Davidson® Premium Oil Cooler Kit | '99-'06 Touring - part
#26082-05C, for my 2006 FLHTCI, E;ectra-Glide Classic. I have it all assembled and am ready to finish up and put the oil filter on it, but when I look at the new adapter, where the filter screws in, it doesn't look right.
The black part on the adapter is part of the adapter and not the gasket. The gasket is not sticking out anywhere, I believe it is installed properly. On the very left of the black "slot" on the adapter is a "passage" where oil can flow, but it looks pretty small. I would expect that that whole slot would be open for oil to flow, but only the very left portion of it is open, though the whole slot in about 1/4" deep...
