I have a 1981 Lowrider. It has after market forks which I think have been home engineered. They are magnificent and I dont want to replace them and the whole triple tree just becasue the fork tubes need resurfacing. Can the fork tubes be chromed to fix the pitting etc....Any advice apprecieted. They are 41mm.

I want to put Python slip-on pipes and a Kuryakyn Hypercharger air box on my '04 FLSTCI. ALL advice is welcome.
So far: I can install the pipes with no worry. I am looking at the Power Commander 3 module with the right map to adjust the EFI, and then perhaps the Kurykyn Hypercharger box. I'm a little worried about the sound and I don't know what performance increase over stock conditions to expect.
I reject the 'standard' Harley high-flow mod with Screamin' Eagles as 'same-o'. I want something louder and prouder. Am I headed in the right direction?
BTW: check out my blog on BLOGGER. I am the 'Harley Biker Brain'.
Yo, down the road,

I have a 02 fxdwg, it is totaly stock except for the pipes and the air cleaner. I put it on the dyno and pulled 71 horse power and 70 ft lbs of torque. I would like to get more without making the size of the motor go up. I have a couple of things in mind and would appreciate a little help in deciding. I would like to put a set of SE211 cams and a 42mm mikuni flatslide carb. What are the benifits of using gear cams instead of chain? Thanks for any help.

Sorry I posted this question in the Trivia Section, I'm new to the site. I'm in dire need of a set of 12mm. Rev-Tech 100"motor compression releases. I have two 100" Rev-Tech motors, one with releases and one without. The "older" 100" with the releases starts great while the "newer" 100" is factory drilled for the releases, but are plugged. Custom Chrome, the importer of the Rev-Tech motors stated the "newer" motors have a different cam and the compression releases are not recommended, BUT I'm on my second high torque starter. The timing is right on so I thiunk I need the compression releases. I've tried to buy them from J&P Cycles, but they're on back order for 8 months. All the other Catalogs offer 10mm or 14mm, but no 12mm for Rev-Tec motors. Can anyone tell me where to buy them??...

Does anyone know where I can buy a set of 12mm compression releases for my 100" Rev-Tech rigid ??? The 100" Rev-Tech in my softail has them and starts real easy, but I'm on my second high torque starter in my rigid 100" Rev-Tech that doesn't have the releases. It's factory drill for the compression releases, but are plugged. I've tried to buy them through J&P Cycle and they're on back order for 10 months. Most of the other catalogs offer 10mm or 14mm, but no 12mm for the Rev-Tech. HELP trooper2481
