thought I posted this one already...just in case.02 wide glideCV./slipons Cylcle S.Dyna....they make the screaming Eagles 1 as well same flow pattern according to "spec"
Jets were 45/190..now screaming eagle air kit..48/195.....bike runs totally great all thru the relm of the rpm spectrum!!!!!...too lean? I backed out the idle mixture a turn and then another 3/4 a trip later.
did all the turn it off and run plugs stuff as well...still one shop thinks it is to lean, the dealer is no help.. full of crap info from people trying to hard to sell stuff(long story)...then got others that say it will not ash that much due to the characteristics of the gas/bike. I run 92-93 shell or sunoco only... (when available.)supposedly 100%
No misses no sputtering at all!!!
1 need to know factory...

Last week I went on a ride from California to Arizona and back (about 1100 miles) and I made notes at each fuel stop of my mileage and gallons to fill up.
Upon calculating the mileage, I noticed that my mileage in California was averaging 36.4 mpg and in Arizona it was averaging 42.8 MPG, that's a 6.4 MPG increase!!
Does anyone know what would cause that kind of increase while I was in AZ?? Is there somthing different about the AZ gas? I used 91 octane at all fuel stops. I had about 5 fill ups in AZ and 7 in CA and consistantly the AZ tanks got me MPG of low 40's? Any ideas?
I'm feeling a bit ripped off from paying higher gas prices in CA and getting less MPG.
Thanks

if i alter the exhaust by drilling out the baffles as a friend suggested will i have to rejet the carb. or adjust the mixture. his dyna was drilled and his bike sounds pretty good, not to loud just nice low rumble.

I have a fxd stock. I need a touring seat, one that is really comfortable! almost all suppliers offer a seat that looks nice, but they all seem to be for fxdwg;s. please tell me if the seats for these two different bikes interchange. any help would be appreciated.

I'm looking for a source for a drilled front rotor for my 73 FX. In 73 the rotors were dished in the center. I tried a flat rotor with a shim kit and the mounting bolts touched the lower fork legs. Does anybody know if any dished rotors are being made? I beleive the dished rotor was a one or two year design.
